Happy Fall Y'All!
Welcome to Fourth Grade and your digital class!
I will post the daily assignment directions that are in each CANVAS course here as needed (just in case the CANVAS site is having difficulty or you are having difficulties accessing it). Click on the page or tab above that says Distance Learning to find each week's assignment pages.
Click HERE to access the Back to School Student Forms for ALL Parents.
Click HERE to Report an Absence online (rather than calling the school).
Click HERE to access the Open House/Back to School/ Meet the Teacher PowerPoint as a PDF.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
As of 9/11/2020 the following students have either completed ALL of their assignments on-time or have made up all missing assignments:
TBD
Have you visited the Did You Know? page for links and information?
* School starts at 8AM. Students are brought into the classroom no later than 7:50AM (for in-school sessions) to get unpacked and begin their Morning Work. Please help your child start the day off right by reminding him or her to have homework sheets out before entering the classroom on Fridays!
For Distance Learning your child should log into CLEVER each school day by 8:00AM so that attendance is recorded properly. Then they are asked to quit out of CLEVER at the end of their work time to refresh the system. Please let me know if your child is being marked absent when online programs show work was done on a specific day.
* Students need supplies every day to be successful with their assignments.
For Distance Learning your child needs a fully charged laptop, headphones, paper and pencil to write down important information, the school agenda, and textbooks supplied by the school.
Your child will need a quiet, private space with access to the internet. There will be times when we will be using Microsoft Office products but these can be accessed through the student's CLEVER portal.
For In-school Learning, be sure that you have sent in the needed items. Check the Supply List page above for more information. We are a community of learners, so some items will be picked up on the first day of In-school Learning to be stored in a common area. Your child's name should be on the outside AND inside cover of all folders and spiral and composition notebooks to be stored on classroom shelves or in desks. Solid colored notebooks and folders are preferred. Thank you!
IN-SCHOOL WISHLIST ITEMS:
Large Glue Sticks; Snacks for 24; Recess Equipment (Nerf balls); Old Socks for Dry Erase/Whiteboard Erasers; Pastel Yellow Copy Paper; Pastel Pink Copy Paper; Pastel Blue Copy Paper; Pastel Green Copy Paper; Pastel Purple Copy Paper; AstroBrights Paper/Cardstock (Lunar Blue, Terra Green, or Planetary Purple); Liquid Glue; Quart Size Ziploc Baggies; Disposable Bowls; Disposable Spoons; Plastic Cups; Liquid Soap Refill or Liquid Soap Bottles (NO Hand Sanitizer Please)
* I provide time for your child to have an optional snack during our day - our early lunch time does not require students to have a snack time. If your child chooses to bring a small snack it must not contain peanuts (we have students who are allergic in the room) and it must be stored in his/her numbered pocket, NOT in the lunchbox or backpack. No outside drinks unless bottled water (and these are also kept in the numbered pocket or on the back counter, not at the student's desk). Please do not send a snack that requires a spoon. No candy please.
First Parent Conferences (Mid September - October)
Second Parent Conference (February - April)
